Fall in style: building the ultimate cosy autumn wardrobe

Photo: Pinterest

A cosy autumn wardrobe can be really fun to build. It isn't just because the summer left that we have to feel less glamorous. Autumn is an amazing season and you can still make yourself stand out with a comfortable outfit.

This post will demonstrate how you can create a comfy, warm fall wardrobe without any pressure.

It is time to take your jumpers, thick leggings and boots from the back of your closet and organise them up front. I really like transitional dressing, because I feel this gives me the opportunity to wear those outfits that you maybe can't wear when it is warm or can't wear when it is cold, and those are actually my favourite kind of clothes and also a return to basics too.
First off, lets starting with the best fabrics for fall - Denim is never tired, whether it be a long pair of jeans, cropped ankle jeans, a lengthy pair of jeans. It is all about relaxed and wide fit jeans, and I'm not only talking about trousers here, denim can cover a full wardrobe.

Wool fabrics - like silk that comes from animals, it is protein based fibre to the cellulosic fibre that we usually see with linen and cotton that come from plants. Wool comes from the fur of animals not a specific one but various animals like sheep, camels, goats and more... The thing about wool is the touch. It can be really soft, beautiful and comfy, but also, the trick is to not buy one that'll give you itchy skin. I recommend looking for high quality ones to not be disappointed later.
If you want the cuddly vibe you should go for the oversized hand Knitted women's Jumpers, Chunky wool sweaters like in the photo's below.

What to say about the flannel outfits? They are very trendy and stylish, and also go easily with literally anything. The good thing about flannel clothes is that they are super cosy and perfect to wear to go to Uni or a café. You can match long sleeved shirts with a simple black pair of trainers or white ones.

Comfortable bottoms - including leggings, joggers or lined jeans. Joggers are my choice almost all of the time, as they are ridiculously comfy and, obviously, with the weather getting quite cold now, especially in England, sometimes you want to layer up underneath a pair of joggers. They are so simple to find in most stores in the UK or online and are always available in many different colours, combined with any style, loungewear pieces that still keep you looking fashionable.

Trendy colours for autumn - For sure different colour palettes have already arrived in your lives as fall and winter collections are already being displayed in the shops, and I see so many photos on Pinterest, so many new colours, so many new cuts and this definitely makes some people confused, they don't know how to choose the right colours for the new season. So here are the ones I believe are going to be the biggest hit and will stay over fall.

Midnight green, dark orange and ruby red. If you still need a little help I found this site called penji.co with a complete guide for fall's best colour palette.

To sign off, I'll leave here some shoes for this special and chilly season. You can't possibly go wrong with boots, can you? apart from the joggers I would wear boots with almost every outfit in my closet.
